Beautiful Breilting Airbone ref A33030 with blue round dial. The color is past and the patina is astonishing. The watch has four sub dials, the second at 3 o’clock, minutes at 6 o’clock and hours at 9 o’clock. The sub dial at 12 o’clock is the calendar. It has Arabic numerals for hours. The hands are in stainless steel with stick design. The chronograph hand has a red arrow. The watch comes with a rotate tachymeter bezel. The crown comes with the Breitling crown. It is a stainless steel back screw case with engraved outside “Breitling Navitimer – Manufacture en Suisse Chronographe – 30m – A33030 – 0575” and inside “Breitling Swiss Made”. The watch has an automatic movement with caliber ETA Y3 2892-A2 with 38 jewels. The watch comes with a Nylon NATO strap. The watch was produced from 1995 to 1997.
Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own chronograph. In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.
