Breitling Chronomat Automatic in stainless steel and gold with blue round dial and gold batons for each hour. The watch has three sub dials in gold, hours at 6 o’clock, seconds at 9 o’clock and minutes at 12 o’clock. The date window comes at 3 o’clock. On the outer of the dial comes a tachymeter graduated up to 1000. The watch has a stainless steel unidirectional bezel with gold marks for 15, 30 and 45. The watch has a screwed crown with pushers all in gold. It is a screwed back case with engraved outside “Breitling – B13047 – 1 07312 – Swiss made Tested 20G – All stainless steel – Water resistant 10 ATM – 100m. The watch is waterproof 10 ATM. The watch has an automatic movement with caliber Breitling 13. It is a brown crocodile strap with a stainless steel Breitling buckle. The watch comes with a box.
Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own chronograph. In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.
