Fine Breitling chronograph with caliber Venus with 17 jewels and inscription “M” and “CXH”. It is a manual winding movement. The dial is original with white outside circle and light grey. Come with roman numerals for hours, 5 minutes and index for minute. The telemetre / KM is in red color and the chronograph in blue base 1000. The counter for minute is at 12 o’clock and seconds at 6 o’clock. The case is in stainless steel with engraved “Stainless Steel Back- Swiss Made”, “Fond Acier Inoxydable”, “CL”. Outside case comes with number 434759.
Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own chronograph. In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.
