This automatic calendar wristwatch has a cutout for the day and arrow to indicate the date on a chapter within the hour’s chapter. The gold filled die-stamped case is embossed on the bezel and has curved legs. In addition to the calendar features the dial has raised Arabic numerals alternating with bar markers in the hours chapter and a subsidiary seconds chapter. In the back case you have engraved “Bulova – gold filled 10K” – Self winding – Shock resistant – Anti magnetic and the number A473540. The crown has the bulova name. The watch comes with a brown crocodile band. Very collectible watch in excellent condition.
The story of Joseph Bulova started in 1875 in the New York area in opening a small jewelry store in the Maiden Lane. Years after years, Bulova offers a full line of watches. In 1926, Bulova introduce a world premier “a practical clock radio”. 1930-1940 is a period of tremendous success for the brand with its rectangular gold-filled wristwatches with highly cambered cases. In the 1950’s, Bulova is the first with electronic watches, the “Accutron”. In 1967, Bulova bought Universal then in 1979 is acquired by Loews Corp. and in 2001bought Wittnauer.
It is a Swiss automatic movement with 23 jewels. On the movement is engraved Bulova watch with BPAD 10 – Heat Isochronism Cold – 3 positions.
