Stunning Hebdomas Patent 8 days pocket watch with white enamel dial and crystal exhibition visible wheel window. The dial has Arabic black numerals and silver colors dots for minutes and decorative ornaments on each side. The hands are in gold with “Dauphine” style. The watch comes with a gold Onion style crown at 12 o’clock covered with a bow. The back case has a nice ornament. Inside the back case come all the marks for silver .925 and the number 822771. It is a manual winding movement with a beautiful decoration and engraved on it “Spirale Breguet Levee Visible - 8 days – Swiss Made - Milan 1916 – Paris 1900 – Chicago 1902 – Geneve 1896 – Ancre – Bruxelles 1910 – Qualite Superieure Garantie. The watch comes with a large pocket watch chain.
Hebdomas started in the late 1800’s offering a long running capacity for its watches. The production started in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Since 1888, all Hebdomas watches have been entirely manufactured by hand, piece by piece. The name Hebdomas recalls the festivities of Ebdomee, held in Sparta, Croton and Mileto, which celebrated the birth of Apollo on the seventh day of the month. Throughout the time, Hebdomas name remains a tradition of famous timepieces with several gold medals awards and distinctions. In 1918, Hebdomas had a tremendous success producing 1000 watches a day with 1000 employees. In 1977, Hebdomas master watchmaker Vincent Calabrese received a gold medical at the inventors exhibition in Geneva and then in 1990 a price for his invention Baladin for his originality and unprecedented conception.
