History

Hebdomas started in the late 1800’s offering a long running capacity for its watches. The production started in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Since 1888, all Hebdomas watches have been entirely manufactured by hand, piece by piece. The name Hebdomas recalls the festivities of Ebdomee, held in Sparta, Croton and Mileto, which celebrated the birth of Apollo on the seventh day of the month. Throughout the time, Hebdomas name remains a tradition of famous timepieces with several gold medals awards and distinctions. In 1918, Hebdomas had a tremendous success producing 1000 watches a day with 1000 employees. In 1977, Hebdomas master watchmaker Vincent Calabrese received a gold medical at the inventors exhibition in Geneva and then in 1990 a price for his invention Baladin for his originality and unprecedented conception.
