18K solid yellow gold Zenith chronograph with caliber 156

Beautiful 18K yellow solid gold Zenith chronograph with round creamy dial and 2 sub dials, one at 3 o’clock for the minutes (45) and the seconds at 9 o’clock. The watch has Arabic numerals for even numbers and batons for odd and a blue tachymeter up to 1000. The dial is as original as it could be. The hands are in gold with a Dauphine style. The back case in is gold with outside numbers “128224 and 16518”. Inside the case you have “Zenith” and all the marks for 18k yellow solid gold “18K- .750, hammer and the woman face”. It is a manual winding chronograph movement with caliber Zenith 156 and 17 jewels. The watch comes with a brown ostrich grain band.

History

A man called Georges Favre Jacot set-up a company in 1865. He experienced a large successful offering pocket watches as accuracy as possible. In 1896, it won a gold medal at the Swiss National Exhibition. In 1960, Zenith takes over Martel Watch Co., which developed the calibers 285 and 749 for Universal. They became the 246 Zenith family. In 1969, Zenith introduces the first ever-automatic chronograph with central winding rotor, the mythical “El Primero”. Since 1999, the company is owned by LVMH. Their current leading products are “Chronomaster XXT”, the tourbillon chronograph, the “Traveler” and “Defy Xtreme”.
