Beautiful Jaeger Lecoultre World Time Speed Beat in stainless steel. The watch as an original dial with cream color and a pristine inside world time city calendar ring. The date is at 3 o’clock and the logo at 9 o’clock. At 6 o’clock, it indicates automatic memovox. It is a “T Swiss T” model. Both crown are original with the JLC logo. The case is in stainless steel. In the back you have engraved “Memovox” – Stainless steel – Speed Beat – HP 28,800 – Waterresistant 2ATM. It comes with a caliber 916 with 17 jewels. The watch has a brown strap Jaeger Lecoultre in alligator (Poor condition). The buckle is also Jaeger Lecoultre. Very collectible timepiece to add to your collection.
The story of Lecoultre started in 1833 with Charles Antoine LeCoultre. In 1844 he invented the “millionometre” and then in 1851, he obtained a gold medal for his work and products at the universal exhibition. In 1877, LeCoultre built movement and between 1860 and 1925, it made 60,000 with various level of complication. 1925 is the merger with Edmond Jaeger. After this time came amazing pieces like the duoplan and the smallest caliber 101. Then came the Reverso in 1931, the Memovox in 1951, the Futurematic in 1953. In july 2000, the company became part of the Richemont group.
